Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams

Sports Zone Classic ChampionshipTeam Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams provide high school players an opportunity for college exposure.  Players who have come through the Team Mizuno Northeast program (9U-14U) have worked hard over the years. Players who remain in the program for two years or more should be high school ready (approximately 85% on their varsity teams by sophomore year).  At this stage in their development, members of Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams are prepared to showcase their talents to play beyond high school.

Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Team Off Season

There are few conflicts for during high school baseball for players. In fact, Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams prepare players for the high school season.  Some of the best high school baseball players in Central Mass have been members of Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams.  Coaches work through the fall and winter to make sure players are in mid-season form come tryouts.

Serious high school players, play college baseball.  There are few athletes out there who can play multiple sports and those players are few and far between.  Future college baseball players, need to focus on their baseball skills.  Being prepared to handle the high pressure situations that college recruiters and scouts look for is vital.  Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Team players should participate in a competitive fall baseball program – as every college baseball player does.  Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams participate in fall baseball activities that challenge and placed players in front of college coaches.

Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams move indoors in December through March. The focus is to prepare players for high school baseball tryouts.  A player’s high school season performance is directly related to their college recruitment. Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams’ coaches stress hard work during the winter season.

Pitch counts are slowly increased during this time through supervised bullpen sessions.  Hitters and fielders maximize the number of swings and fielding work. Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams participate in simulated games in order to provide them with live game situations.  This helps players experience live game situations prior to the high school season.  Once high school tryouts begin in March, Team Mizuno Northeast Scout Teams will break.

Team Mizuno Northeast players receive memberships to Hit Quarters located within Shrewsbury Sports Center (3 Tennis Drive, Shreswbury MA).  Players can use the batting cages, pitching mounds and infield at no extra cost.

Travel Includes:

All of New England and nationally is expected with very few local games played. Locations may include Maine, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Delaware, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
